All Eyes on Palestine & Sudan

All Eyes on Palestine & Sudan

Bismillah

A lot is happening around us. Every single day, we hear about another atrocity. Another family torn apart. Another innocent faced with unjust. As I type this, my heart feels heavy. It’s one of those heavinesses that sits in your chest quietly, but deeply.

-----

Our brothers and sisters are suffering. They are living each day not knowing whether they will see another ray of sun, whether the night they fall asleep in will be their last. To the ones who never made it to another dawn, may the light they see now be the light of Jannah. May the children of Palestine, of Sudan, of every land torn by cruelty and wickedness, rest in the beauty and safety of Jannah. I pray these children get to be children. I pray they receive the childhood we were blessed with, Alhamdulillah. And in the hereafter, may they be given every joy we had in this world and more.

May they play freely on swings and slides. And may their only pain be from falling off monkey bars or scraping their knees learning to ride a bicycle, not from bones splintered under the weight of collapsed walls, or bodies crushed beyond recognition beneath the rubble of what used to be home.

May the sounds that surround them be the jingle of the ice cream truck, not the scream of sirens and bombs.

May their stomachs be filled with warm meals, candies, chocolates, not emptied by hunger and starvation.

May they have a bed to sleep in, a roof to shelter them, and arms to hold them during nightmares. And may those nightmares be figments of the mind, not the memory of soldiers flooding their homes with boots, shouts, and gunmetal, smashing photographs, beds, and toys, turning their safe place into rubble, turning their childhood into survival.

May they never know the taste of blood. The taste of loss at an age so young.

May their only worry be waking up for school and not whether they will wake up at all.

May their eyes shine with the hope of tomorrow and not be dried out from hours of crying.

Some of these children have never seen the world outside ash and smoke. They have taken their first breath and sometimes their last surrounded by rubble. They deserved so much more than what this world gave them.

The pain of Palestine, the pain of Sudan - it echoes. It moves through the earth like a tremor. The wind itself carries their cries, crossing oceans, borders, headlines and propaganda. Their suffering is heard by hearts that are still alive.

This is a humanitarian call for justice.
The people of Palestine, the people of Sudan, the victims of oppression and violence - they are not defined by religion, ethnicity or borders. They are human.

And every human deserves a life worth living. A childhood filled with softness. A future filled with years. No human should ever witness, accept or justify such crimes.

Donate, so we can be their hope.
Raise awareness, so we can be their voice.

They have been silenced. But we will not be.

May justice prevail. InshaAllah.
