At WEAV, every piece is created with intention, for the women who wear it, the hands that craft it, and the world we all share. What started as my dream to design hijabs that blend faith, style, and function has grown into something bigger: a community, a sisterhood, and a movement towards mindful fashion.
My name is Alviya, and I founded WEAV with the belief that the hijab is more than a piece of fabric, it’s a part of who we are. For so many of us, it represents our values, our identity, and our confidence. I wanted to create a brand that celebrates that, while also building a space where sisters can connect, support each other, and grow together. Starting here in the Greater Toronto Area (my home), my goal is to nurture a local sisterhood that can one day expand far beyond.
Our hijabs are produced in small batches to reduce waste, using thoughtfully chosen fabrics that feel as good as they look. We work with partners who value ethical practices, fair wages, and safe working environments, because beauty should never come at the expense of people or the planet.
Through our GTA Sisterhood initiative, styling guides, and future events, WEAV is here to inspire not just how you wear your hijab, but how you live in it.
